I have hair like yours.
It curls and it’s auburn.
Not quite down to my butt like you wanted,
It’s getting there.
My memory is foggy.
You haunt…or haven’t decided to pass on yet.
Though I remember fondly
Seeing you and Mom together, so in love.
It frustrates me because
I wish you were still here.
You could’ve taught me so much
More then I know now…
Could’ve kicked my ex’s butts.
I hope I find something
Like what you and Mom had…
A soul mate, a best friend, a lover.
I’ve missed you for years.
I’m just finally getting it out.
It’s a lot worse lately.
I’m turning twenty-one this month.
Would’ve been nice to have a beer with my old man on my birthday.

Know what cha mean 'cept me-n-my dad would smoke a cig together, watch the sun set then eat vanilla ice cream. Now both my parents are my guardian angels, along with many more.
