i used to see her
standing beside
herself
troubled and alone
isn't that what it's coming to anyway?
i used to watch her
waiting for the bus
pocket full of quarters
head full of
such sad music
thing will change, she said
gave me full blue eyes and
said,
the things, they always change
crashing forward,
tumbling down stairs
now, i suppose, she watches me
after all, the things, they've changed
after everything, it's changed
and, pockets empty
i walk to the end
Rachel, love, where are you?
and what have you done to me?
what becomes of us, now
that we are so changed?

Dear Inlovewithaladd,
I cannot figure out why nobody has responded! Perhaps it was so extraordinarily profound, they were left speechless! Human behavior is so full of question marks.
You have such a poetic knack, a poetic sixth-sense. You cover the emotions so thoroughly, but leave precise and begging little holes, little snippets of the unknown allowing anyone who reads the opportunity to insert their own personal experience. You have a way of writing so in the end it isn't just your poem. It belongs to everyone willing to insert a part of themselves.
Things do change. Nothing stays the same forever. And these changes have purpose.
