The whispers inside your head,
have slowly turned into screams.
Your brain has now only eyes for darkness,
and nothing you see is as it seems.

The shouting in your prayers,
has swiftly turned into silence.
Your version of fairytale happiness,
has been tortured by mental violence.

But, tears dry,
and hurt recedes,
and in good time,
hearts will cease to bleed.

seems a wee bit contrived, not really my style, but that last verse was really good
