A glance set forth upon a sandy stage;
The magenta sky adorning the diving sun
As it blushingly lay to rest in its evanescent plunge…
Her eyes slowly draw him in.
She stands, dancing, as the sea and shore kiss,
With grains of sand swirling in the breeze.
The beating of her heart rising above the din
Of crashing waves…a tune for which a poet longs,
For which gulls soar, and for which tides shift.
And with a final crashing wave her silhouette fades;
A vision to languish his reluctant heart.
However soon this brief encounter ends, her image
Will be eternally engrained in his mind, his heart…and his pad,
As again, his muse is lost.

This was amazing! I love the sea, and I understand the whole concept, the muse... on another site, my screen name is Poet of the Sea...
Beautiful piece, the imagery was great, I loved the line about the tune for which a poet longs. Simply beautiful.
Take care,
David |
