The blood is rich
and spattered within
Diluted with toxins
and every sin
The liquid pours
into the soul
like words you’ve said
that burn a hole
These wounds won’t heal
they will not fill
like scars you see
won’t go at will

Brief, but potent.... and pointed, actually. In an odd sort of way, I both cannot and can relate to this.
People often assume, I think, that pain naturally dissipates over time. Sometimes it does - but sometimes it really doesn't. The residual pain, that wound that won't heal, is terribly difficult to bear - perhaps mostly because one is left to bear it alone. It sort of makes you (or - me, at least) want to scream, "it didn't go away just because you stopped paying attention!". *sigh* Yeh. This write screams that in it's own way, I think.
Wishing you healing... or at least, the love and attention of someone who might help you tend the 'wounds',
~Snemmy
