When I die

When I die, what will I know?
How will I feel? Just how will I go?
Would I be so lucky, as to simply fall asleep?
Taking with me memories of loved ones as I sleep.

I don't wish you to cry, I don't wish you to grieve
Just to celebrate my lifetime here,and things I had achieved.
For I'll be walking forwards to another place in time
Joining those I loved and lost,peace and joy sublime.

My heart will ache at leaving you, but we all know you can't come
Because my love will keep you here, protecting as your Mum
Your lives will then continue just as mine once did the same
Your children keep your hearts alive as you hear them call your name

When I die remember... I don't wish for you to cry
I will always live inside your hearts so you need never question WHY?

I LOVE YOU MY SON'S WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL
MUM XXX

Such a sad Poem, I hope sincerely that it is not written in grief. So sad. bern
