I JUMP IN MY OLD PICKUP
MY CHEEKS NOW PAINTED FRESH
THESE TEARS ROLL INTO NOWHERE
A LIFETIME OF REGRET
THIS OLD ROAD I TRAVEL
LIKE A PHOTO FROM THE PAST
ALONE WITH MY DARKNESS
STARING INTO STARY SKIES
NOT KNOWING WHERE I'M GOING
JUST SOMEWHERE OUT OF HERE
ME AND THIS OLD PICK UP
DOWN THE ROAD WE GO
LOOKING FOR A FRESH START
BUT ONLY FINDING MEMORIES
EYES OF HEADLIGHTS PASS
LIKE FIREFLIES IN THE WIND
DRIFTING OFF SLEEP IN THE DISTANCE
THIS OLD ROAD I'M TAKING
IS HEADED OUT OF TOWN
I'LL LASSO THE MOON
AND PULL IT TO THE GROUND
TOMORROW I'LL CHASE THE SUN
I CAN'T LET IT SLIP AWAY
SO ON THIS DIRT ROAD I TRAVEL
UNTILL I COME TO YOU
THEN I KNOW MY JOURNEY IS OVER
BECAUSE BABY
I LOVE YOU
