Cher,
You should see the way you look at those flowers at your feet. Like they are to blame,
like they are the reason
that your life is so hollowed out.
There is nothing inside you to bloom.
The heart is a void thing, ready to be filled – always ready to be emptied. Its your soul
that loves, that lives, but the heart, dear, is there to absorb. So put yours in my hands
and let me pour it out for you, empty out the rotting parts and sow new seeds, and water it
with my affection. Let me lay against your chest and speak to it so it may grow, not bigger, but more exquisite.
Vous, avec les yeux vides, you’ll grow so beautifully.
Let me caress your budding petals and admire your colors. Restons dans cet endroit lumineux,
où je peux toujours vous voir. Je veux respirer votre parfum en cette brise éternelle.

Well, goodness, kei - this reminds me of piece I wrote back in Oct '05 (and for the record, I cannot believe it was that long ago!!). Not the words themselves, or the style... but the concept, thought, inspiration. My Dare the Rose is similar, though presented differently and with a wee bit of a different spin, I guess (as the title probably illustrates). It makes it a tad hard to look at this with complete objectivity, I must admit. I do know I love this... what I mean to be saying is, there are probably a number of reasons why.
With hopes that your flower reaches itself to the sun,

So gorgeous! This piece really feels as if it is breathing and growing, clamouring out towards the light as it is read.
That last stanza really stands out for me.
Beautiful,
