Whats in a comment..
where have I taken your heart,
was it just one word
from a distant past
or many that are warm to remember.

Whats in a comment..
that We would rise"
Cover a distance
to hold a hand.. I wonder.

Think Me silly"
but I would have done just that,
had I known replies can bleed.

Deem me careless"
into a Texas wind,
to find that note in a bottle"...Vincent

this: for Morning Dove
looking back through some comments, one of her`s..

"I am still a dreamer. If I thought it would do any good I would put a love letter to anyone in a bottle and throw it in the Brazos River"
--------------She is gone now...
whats in a comment? don`t be afraid if I am bold...Vincent

Vincent, what a sweet and selfless thing you have
shared with us. And oh, how beautiful your
own words are. I can't get over this one part ..

"but I would have done just that,
had I known replies can bleed."

omigosh. I mean ... damn!!! That is large and by far
the most poetic line I've read in a while. I really hate
to pull that out on it's own, but it is such a deeply
affecting statement, I needed to separate it.

I adore that you added Rita's comment at the bottom.
It's beautiful. As was she. . .

As are you, my friend ~

*hugs*
~Breezy

Breezy read this poem to me last night. I thought wow how emotional. But tears welled up in my eyes today as I read it. So soft and so hard hitting on the heart strings. This is brilliance. I did not know Rita. But I do know she meant a lot to all of you. I believe these words were lifted up to heaven for her to read and I believe if you felt a single rain drop on your cheek it was her tear. Wow Vincent you really know how to strike the reader. Excellent job and I must agree with Breezy.

had I known replies can bleed.

That line is poetry at it's finest. This work is poetry at it's finest. A fine work of art all the way around.

Just leave a tissue on the page for me with my intials engraved in it next time. So I can keep the eyes dry.

SUPERIOR JOB STORM CLOUD!

SCM

what a wonderful write,.... Yes, the things and words, that ones' want to say and write, yet some how do not do that.... WHY? Is it that we can not bring our self to throw out something, because we are afraid it will be taken wrong? or in a way it should be , but not?!?!?!?! I think thats why so many do not take chances at putting messages in bottles.......GREAT write, was extremely lovely.

What a beautiful gathering of verse.
I too miss her, her memory and her words live on...
