Amber

Topic: Lifepoems

Try not to think of her
sometimes I do
memories through amber"
gifts of time.

Porous condition
one" is left with,
easily we absorb
each thought.

Bitter and sweet
mild choice
instinct can`t let you down.

The heavy burnt..
in place" this minimum heart,
And your honor..
you know so much...don`t let that stop you.. Vincent

Vincent .. this is so damn beautiful. So sad and emotionally affecting.

I feel for the writer here .. for so many more reasons than I could name.

but ...

The first line of the third stanza really hits home ~

Exceptional. Touching to the last, my friend.

~Breezy

The brevity here only add to the emotional impact of your words, and they hit hard with their sorrow.
Really evocative imagery and word choice, plus I adore the title!

Beautiful,
Dom

Vincent I really do not like saying something that has already been said. But this poem was deeply emotional. A powerful and thought provoking heart striking work of art! Wow the lines are enormous! You have a gift my friend, sailing on seas of rocking waves and coming through them wet but proudly so. Ride on majestic sailor of frankenstein seas!

This speaks to me so much. The first stanza with the reference to amber. One of my favorite stones...fossilized tree sap...so ancient. I have a couple of pieces of amber.
Stanza two...wow. Darn fine statement there...I loved these lines...

"Porous condition
one" is left with,
easily we absorb
each thought"

Once again your brevity of words has gone so deeply. I love reading you, my friend.

Much peace, love and hugs,
Laura
