I’m into things like thoughts and chances
and favorites and keys
to our hearts and leaves in the trees
and books on loving
and loving on fees
and fees with coupons
and people who please.
Please with nature,
not disease.
Don’t offer me cookies,
expecting relief
from anyone who ever never thought you best.
Cookies are sweet but give it a rest.
Give me your best cause its what you want.
I’ll give you what’s in my chest.
Actually, wait thats wrong.
I’ll do my best,
that’s the most I’m afraid.
i kiss, I cuddle
I hug, I touch
I listen, I doodle
little shapes of trust
into all that I love
hoping you’ll see the difference
between all or nothing and nothing but love.

You’re cool and I’m cool and together we’re ok.
Like pieces in a puzzle little siblings chip to play.
Let’s shove us together
and see what comes our way.
I’ll play chillin’ and you play bored
We’ll talk like we miss the other but we wont really know what for.
The sex we keep in generic little rooms?
On generic beds without even fantasy tinted plumes?
You come, I don’t.
We fall back and smile
I think, “where’s mine?”
You think, “I’m tired.”
We sleep, we wake
We decide on another day
There’s little to say
and my mind is somewhere far away.
I leave and touch your face as I do.
You pretend you care as you take a bite of your burger and chew
On empty thoughts and empty words
I come back to my Mom’s and
she’s wondering what’s new.
Saying, “nothin’” I put my bag in the hall
She’s thinking, “3 days is a lot and there’s something going on”
I put on my casual smile and proceed to my room
She’s thinking i’m hiding,
When really I’m just not trying at all.
