Sometimes I Wonder

Contributed by PoeticHybrid on Friday, 20th July 2007 @ 12:54:57 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I easily walk alone
with the strength I have shown
Through these dark times
Full of romantic crimes

From women caught in a cheat
to those more discreet
To men with heavy hands
Covering these lands

Those walking alone
Don't make themselves prone
to such great attacks
Yet still we can't relax

Even though we know the chance
We get jealous watching others dance
The warm smiles and the soft caress
Bring up urges too hard to suppress

Urges that pull at our power
Urges that quickly devour
Our coveted strength reserve
Making us think of what we deserve

Someone to let inside our defenses
Someone to set fire to our senses
Making us burn to feel their love
Someone we can take care of

With thoughts like this I began to wonder
Has my courage been torn asunder
Is walking alone really the right thing?
Or am I left ignorance's king...

wondering can be a frutiful yet bad think to do, as it leaves thoughts in ones mind. sometimes not good ones. loved this write of expression, flowed very well. i have read many writes today and this one is a favourite so far.
