I'm sitting on this stool
dressed up in what you pick
a smile plastered on my face
god, how this makes me sick
The love in me is fading
that light is going out
I'm standing up and breaking free
I'll raise my voice to shout
All my friends are standing round
they know the truest me
they wait for what they knew would come
no more sitting patiently
I'll throw my fists against the glass
watch it shatter beautifully
the blood that drips as I climb out
is all that you'll have left of me.........
And when you come home to find my mess
for my box you have to pass
you'll see bright in my crimson joy
"I won't be your Rose in Glass".

Wonderfully put write. I have been there, and know exactly how it feels. Glad you could break out of there. |
