Constant Blur of Motion

I didn’t pack any heels for the ride
Just a night time thought I had tossed aside
I dusted it off and heaved a sigh
It was juxtaposed by the daylight
A constant blur of motion on each side
I realized I could not decide
What the signs before me signified
But I wouldn’t turn around
Wouldn’t turn around
Couldn’t turn around
So I gave you up
And I took a ride
You said I have to decide
You’d be there when I got back
And I promised I’d come around
And that I’d be ok
So we set aside that day
For another time
It was a constant blur of motion
Colors obscure into one
Making it hard to see
Shielding my gaze from the sun
It was merely a dream that changed me

It feels like a needed get away. A very peaceful and relaxing piece. |
