Suicide

Powerful taste,
takes you by the hand.
One more shot,
by the fall of man.
Leads her away
from the one she longs.
Every night, she felt better.
What made that so wrong?
Notes, rehab,
arguments, and lies.
"How did I
let him slip by?"
Her dress drenched,
again, every night.
Telling herself, "He'll come back,
maybe, he might."
Waiting for nothing,
her face falls to the ground,
the pills shake in her hands,
as another shot goes down.

Nice. I found this enjoyable. Straightforward and real. |
