Middle of the night,
sleeping sound and tight,
and holding on to me just right.

We're laying on the bed,
knowing this will end,
and thinking of things we left unsaid.

What was it about that time?
What made me leave it all behind?

It's in the way you speak to me,
that sends the chills up my back.
I let you go forever,
now love is what I lack.
It's in the way you held my hand,
but I just took it all away.
By loving him more than you
was the only way,
I could leave you today.

Breaking all the rules,
with my lover at the pool.
God knows its awkward to see you at school.

I used your loving heart,
to tear us both apart,
after me and my other lover start.
