holding her reigns

Contributed by lostrelic on Tuesday, 17th July 2007 @ 04:04:38 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

slinging arrows at passing cars
sitting with stars in empty bars
hitting shields at no defense
flinging lyrics while walking on the fence

breaking boarded windows with a pocket full of shame
looking docile hiding other peoples pain
as my knees bleed threw the floor below
walking like atlas with the world at tow

digging in ground with you as my rock
just closed hearts no key for the lock
if the carrots screamed would you pull oh so hard
fenced in freedumb just like your yard

calling our soldiers stand instead of fall
sabers so cold we steal all we brawl
swimming up stream with crusted wake
dragging below the regret we call fate

falling fertile in closed minded view
sitting with children that were not taught what to do
singing lifeless songs no skin for the drum
young dumb and stupid all packing guns

sitting like timber await for the bomb
waiting for winter trapped for so long
cold filtered dreams a wash in the tide
holding her reigns we go for the ride
