Museum of Time

Contributed by NoSaint on Monday, 16th July 2007 @ 10:34:28 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Portraits of truth
Museum of time
Caught in essence
Framed every crime

Words used as swords
Deeds left undone
Revenge plated out
Songs left unsung

Hope also exhibited
Good acts of charity
Smiles collected
However their brevity

Laughter and tears
Joy and sorrow
All of our todays
And many tomorrows

Someday we will stroll
Through the corridors
I hope mine is filled with good
How about yours?

beautiful write that has made me sit and think on it, love the museum images, and what it represnts to me; im thinking art museum, though most museums have that effect on me, caught in time, life goes on... love how you ended it as well, made me think of my home as a museum and what will be remembered of me when im gone,

hugs n' love nessa

This made me think of a museum of my own life and walking through it looking at everything I've ever said and done and hoping to find in the end that it was not all in vain. We can't change what has happened to us, but we can use it to grow and become who we want to. This is what your poem says to me.
By the way, I really liked it!

Dom

There is a struggle in life, I think, that creates the "art" in
our museum of time . And like the gallery's of modern
day, some of the art is beautiful, some sad, some angry and some
just too darn confusing to understand. But wow, what a metaphor,
Shari. This was brilliant. I hope that when the time comes to
"review" my art, that my museum is FILLED, with the larger percent
swaying to the good, happy and kind. :)

Lovely thought-provoking write, hun.
