His Eyes

Hand in hand,
by the babbling brook,
gazing at the stars
in the cloudless sky.
Reflected in his eyes I see
oceans of vast eternity.
Shimmering in perfect blue and gold,
a story of another world
waiting to be told.
Wisdom of beyond his years,
mixes with his pain and fears.
That faraway gaze,
he’s wishing the rain again,
with its misty haze.
I loose myself in those eyes
too deep to live in,
like gazing into a volcanic fissure.
I witness oblivion.
A secret dark age,
beats inside
as he lowers his gaze,
smiling at me.
I let my heart rejoice,
in his love and his pride.
The sparkling sky
I see in his eyes,
and I weep
as we lie down to sleep
and dream of a better day
when together,
we can just fade away.

Exceptionally romantic Thespia. And so damn beautiful. If I could, I would lie
down inside this poem and dream the sweetest dreams.
There is as much to the words not spoken as the ones here on this page.
It's gorgeous how you captured such a beautiful and ethereal emotion while
gazing into the eyes of the one who holds your heart. I love this. :)
Too beautiful!

Eyes are the windows to the soul its said. I believe this, and I think your poem reflects this also. You have used beautiful vivid descriptions, really brings this piece to life.
Take care,
