Trapped here in time, stuck in the seams,
Haunted my muted, silent screams.
No way to get out, we're all bound to this fate,
For what precedes now we'll forever hate.
Dreams are escape; life is the prison;
To die is to dream of one final mission.
A blissful escape, an inexplicable yearning,
We all crave this, we're just scared of the ending.
What is this thing; why is it here?
It doesn't seem to have purpose; nothing is clear,
Knowledge that is hidden until the escape that is near.

I've read this a couple two or three times, and I find it a very interesting piece.
"What is this thing; why is it here?"
Powerful question there, one in which we have all pondered a time or two, I'm sure. Good solid write.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura |
