It’s raining in my back yard.
But the front yard is perfectly dry.
I’m sitting in a lawn chair.
Catching all this Florida sunshine.
Oranges swaying on my orange trees.
Tangerines just bursting with wine.
The lemon trees are pretty.
Just soakin up some Florida sunshine.
I watched here on my T.V.,
Saw the snow that was falling up north.
Turned on the air conditioner,
Glad that I don’t live in New York.
I’m lookin up at the sky.
One that is just perfectly blue.
There’s not a cloud in the sky.
Had a glass of Florida sunshine.
If I could send you sunshine,
By simply writing these words that I say.
Then I can send some more to you,
Each and every Florida day.
My love’s right here beside me.
My heart is full and it’s a beautiful day.
You’re walkin round in snow boots.
I’m barefoot in the sand today!
