You think YOUVE got problems??

Contributed by LanBanan88 on Monday, 9th July 2007 @ 10:39:03 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

If you think youve got problems
that you think are very bad
and feel little things
that make you unhappy and sad

Then think about the people out there
that have problems that are real
and when you do,
youll realise that your problems
are no big deal

Problems such as hunger, starvation, suicide and rape
are a few things happening alot of people
and they have no escape

Children dying of not only one disease
but many-
too many to be able to
put at ease

Did you know that there are 27 children dying every minute of hunger?
and your out here complaining that you are not slender

These children didnt choose to be born into this world
to suffer
to be mutilated
to be sold

I would never be able to forgive
those who hurt the innocent and young
cause there is no cure or heal for it
no song to be sung

So next time you think youve got problems
just think otherwise
if you cant then take a minute off
to hear the suffering and the cries...

Lana

Well now that is rhyme as well and done with a heart of compassion. So many issues my friend and yes let us not wallow in our misery but reach out and have a heart for others. The magical cure....get out of yourself and help others...the healing of your heart and theirs.Bless you for this write and welcome.

This is surely surely a very good poem, lana
I am new to this site just like u
By reading ur poem i realized the similarity in our thoughts
Back here in Pakistan we are having a tough situation
Hundreds dying
your poem just fits in
Felt like crying
A must read
I totally agree with your thoughts
Sometimes we ignore the less fortunate ones
the cure is to give away as much as possible in the name of Allah.....our God

Wise write, Lana. I try to to that myself....in times when I feel I cannot go another day, I'll see something or read something and think damn, I'm doing okay. I've got a roof over my head, food in my belly and clothes on my back...many others can't say that. I still "whine" and let loose my woes in my poetry, but try not to complain too awful loud.
Thanks for sharing and reminding me, I'm pretty damn lucky.....

Peace,
Laura
