The First Kiss.

I'm screaming inside while I appear calm.
My adrenaline pumping like an alarm.
So nervous and clueless of what to do.
You catch me in a gaze and say "I'll show you."
I break eye contact from your intense stare.
I can feel your eyes apon me everywhere.
If anywhere but here I would give in.
But I'm not a fan of public displays of affection.
You're experience in this field intimidates me.
I'm not stupid I know men are accused of trickory.
I'm the first to be skeptical and I dont fall fast.
I realize that I dont know much about your past.
This is not the time or place or night.
This situation is awkward and doesn't feel right.
Maybe another time will come.
And maybe that time you'll be the one.

i like it.
I've felt that way before.
and i appreciate anyone who actually has the talent to write out those doubtful emotions...
