PRO LIFE (please don't read and cuss me out for my opinion..

Contributed by Poess on Saturday, 7th July 2007 @ 04:50:08 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

It's unfortunate, the choices some women make,
when it becomes too much so a life they decide to take,
A life that they helped to create
with no love, no care....and strangely no hate,
an act of murder where the victim never had a name,
a gift from God, ill-recieved and her figure remains the same

its justified, for the better...of this they usually all agree,
the conditions surrounding each woman differ by some degree,

the first has no money, no home, no hope,
her lover is gone and there's not a soul to help her cope,
another is rich, care-free and bounding thru life,
now she's showing and money won't get rid of the father's wife,
the third is penniless, addicted and oblivious to fact
in denial of this tiny presence, consumed by crack
none of these 3 will ever be a mother, 2 will never deliver,
one crack addicted baby, plucked from society's liver,
the baby grows to be a more than capable man
helping others in ways that no one else can
landing his place in history with his impact on Earth
All of these women made bad choices, but whose was worse?

I strong write on a touchy subect.
Myself I think that aboration should never be used as a form of birth controll there is to much out there to prevent an unwanted pregnancy to begin with.......

though in certain circumstances such as life and death situations I think that intimate choice should be left between the woman her family and the doctor.

But I do agree there are other alternatives adoption being one or not becomming pregnant to begin with.

Wow I agree with Michelle, one should not use abortion as a tool for birth control...close the legs would be much easier. I am pro-choice, for I feel the government in general as taken over too much when it comes to decisions of what we do with our bodies. I am glad that I, years ago, was able to make a choice....Murder....the act of murder, I'm not so sure about. I mean in this country in some states our government "murders" people to show murdering people is wrong....ie: executions. This country also loves war, we're murdering folks everyday. I don't think anyone here will "cuss" you out, but I know from my own experiences and opinions about this world, controversial subjects are bound to have many different comments.
I respect your opinion, but glad you are not the one in control over my body.
Much peace to you,
Laura

Too much to say on this topic, so, I'll limit myself to sayin' that the flow & structure were such as no ambiguity was left as to how you feel about this topic & I can appreicate this elocution, if not the sentimate.

Great Job of Expression!

As a woman I believe we are intitiled to our choices. Once..not 5 Times. If you can survive the first abortion....you must be tough. However 5 is pushing the button on get some birth control. Abortion is not the end...it is the beginning of wondering and the what ifs and maybe ifs.....We are stuctured to reproduce...it's like the salmon swimming backwards...No judgement on the first time...but get real...5 times? Wake up.
This piece was well written but some people have to really think about their actions from day to day.
Children are a gift from the universe.

All I would say you already have. Congrats on being able to honestly show/write your thoughts and emotions.
(People who are rude enough to comment you by cussing are ignorant.)

Thank you!

wow this is very powerful. i agree that using abortion just to not let a child live is totally wrong. you have expressed that so very well. the only way i think abortion is ok is if someone was raped.. that is a whole different story. but each life that happens is for a reason and a purpose we have no right to take away a life.

great job on this and very sad!

Good poem,it says it all about the human
element, from lust to abortion, for if there were love, ther would be no abortion.

Wonderful poem, Im not a fan of the whole abortion idea either but have waited in the clinic for many of my friends. I believe that everyone can and should make their own choices on this subject, but expressing your feelings through this cool poem isnt a crime. Well done and thank you so much for sharing.

this is a really good poem, i dont agree with abortion either i really like how you expressed yourself... it was really good and you shouldnt have to worry about people cussing you out for sharing your opinion by way of a poem, if they dont like it, they dont have to read it
