azure afternoon

a scent wafted across the room, the air lite as a berry
twinkling of windchimes, guitar music plucked merry,
curtains shuttered in the breeze, trees swayed featherlike
through the glass spoke sunlight, as notes did spike,
~*~
a flute drifted along as the forest smiled, sweet sound
gentle piano keys were added, there softly to resound,
to make one gaze up at the sky, harmonious euphony
animals listened and bees paused, whilst making honey,
~*~
a sweeter world it is, furniture made by the gift of trees
life circles, artsy branches permanent canopy marquee,
swift cloud passes overhead, then vivid lasting vermilion
and here sit i, in the midst of natures beautiful pavilion.

Nessa this was breathtaking!! Absolutely!!
I was transported to a forest myself with your beautiful descriptions and
could actually hear the amazing sounds of music that the forest creates,
along with the flute and piano you have interwoven here. This reminds
me a little of those mood CD's where, if you close your eyes, you actually
feel like you are experiencing it in FULL life! wow.
wonderful job. Just a splendid, splendid write!

My personal favorite ... ?
"through the glass spoke sunlight..."
That alone speaks volumes.
Wonderful, Nessa

Lucky gal - how can you think yourself cloaked in anything but beauty, because it shines through - yours and that rustic Eden you describe (then again, how can any of us think that way, when we are above ground and lucky enough to be living the moment, when we remember to).
ps: loved the Cowley quote, and thanks for your genuine and wonderful comments.

This is truly a great nature piece!
The images, the feelings it evokes, what it says....and most especially what it doesn't say!
I am transported! |
