WIPE THE TEARS FROM OUR EYES

Contributed by Robert_Edgar_Burns on Monday, 29th July 2002 @ 07:49:04 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

It won’t be long at all,
Till we hear the Saviours’ call.
Your work on Earth is done,
Then a new life has begun.
Life on Earth is short,
And someday you must report,
On how you lived and why
You lived that way.

Sickness and disease
Can bring you to your knees.
You wonder why you’re smitten,
And others never bitten.
Why are some deformed,
From the day that they are born?
And crippled children always
Melt my heart.

Parents that grieve,
Spend hours on their knees.
But The deaf, dumb, and blind
Are here to stay.
Look around, I hear some crying,
And over there is someone dying.
And that always brings
Tears to my eyes.

Then, He will wipe away the tears
From our eyes.
He’ll wipe away all tears
From our eyes.
He’ll say there’ll be no crying,
For He’s done away with dying.
Yes, He’ll wipe away the tears
From all eyes. Amen!

Hi Rob,
this write takes me back to when Mom, (my Bestfriend) passed. At her funeral she had a letter written to our pastor,,
Some of it was personal but I remember that she had been talking 'bout us left behind but said her consilation was the scripture that assured her that God would wipe the tears from our eyes.........Since that day in 1979, I don't remember much else for I was grieving but every time I feel tears Moms spirit reminds me that God is the one that wipes my tears....So I count on God to wipe my tears even now.
Very good write my friend!!!!
I can see and feel the passion in this write for all mankind........Tis a BIG HEART u have there.....still your number one fan!!!!!
emy
