The Dark

Contributed by rizer on Thursday, 28th June 2007 @ 12:40:59 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The dark is cold and the numbing, razor blade sensation of lonliness is the only thing that I feel, the only thing that is real. The chain of sorrow hangs around my neck, never letting go. The pressure's getting tighter pulling me in as I try to yell no. At times I'm too scared to try to leave the shadows, cause they won't understand, the bitter girl that would stand before them, is not the same sweet little lamb. The thick fog of confusion that trips me in my tracks and the racing thoughts of my mind stops every action that i've got. How did I get here? Where did I go so wrong? I've been kicked out, brought down, torn apart, and even taken a punch. But never brought this far that even the human eye can't touch. Where does the dark get its strength, its power, its might? How do you fight this emotion of darkness, when the dark won't let you out?

Chain of sorrow hangs around my neck.....

Powerful leaving that same feeling with the reader.

Profound touch of the darkness within your soul.

The dark comes to all of us at times.....
we can overcome all the hurt and trials because under the dark fog there is our inner strength that carries us along, like a raft upon a stormy river.

Good write
I hope the darkness leaves you

Michelle
