Kindness, Friendship and Love

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Your words are like silk
caressing my skin
Holding me tight
Never let me give in.

You’ve helped me so much more
than I’ve ever let you know.
I don’t deserve your kindness,
but I’m loathed to let you go.

Before you I was lost,
my eyes saw only gray.
and the deep blade running over my skin,
kept the real pain away.

Then I met you,
and I began to see
there are millions of people
in this world, other than me.

You’ve taught me that everyone deserves a smile,
and how to love everything, even the rain.
In awe, we’ve looked beyond this world,
and found each other, just the same.

You’re my hope in the darkness,
my guide when I’m lost.
Id run to you if you needed me,
id be there, through rain, snow or winters frost.

You filled that wide empty space,
in my heart, that was so blue.
You’ve given me back my true smile,
no words do you justice, thank you.

The love you always give,
to anyone who seems in pain.
Helped me through many lonely nights,
helped me toss away my life’s bane.

Please don’t put yourself down,
you don’t know how special you are.
You have a heart made of pure gold,
and it will take you far.

If I had my way,
you would never feel pain.
I would gladly carry it all for you,
so you dance, freely, in the rain.

Your more important to me than a brother.
You understand me more than my family do.
You’ve never judged, just listened to me ramble.
So with all my heart, I say, Thank You.
