I was but a meare child when we first met
5 or 6, maybe
Mom brought you home and it was then when I couldn't help
but to fall in love with you...or was it lust?

I never really cared at that age,
but I grew up and you never even noticed me.
At least not the me I wanted you to see

And on that late night on the other side of mom's door,
you gave me my first kiss and a memory that will never fade
From then on, you drove me crazy
but then you disapeared for what seemed to be an eternity

4 years later mom brought you home again
I had feelings for you,
but had to repress them.
until we kissed again
and you're driving me crazy once more...

I just want to hold you tight
to fall asleep with you in my arms....
I just want you........

I gotta say, my parents were also 10 years apart and are now divorced...I just hope I don't get hurt too bad....But she does say she feels the same way.
Thanks for the comment!

By the way...the title was supposed to be "Mom's best friend". And just to let you know that I am not very good with words, so my poetry may not be so good sometimes...
