Eternal Sleep
The night lies,as a blanket of black
upon my being,unseen
My eyes, covered, with a veil of regrets
For sins of the past
my fate,has now been cast
The past, the present
move,as ghost before my eyes
Half truths,sweet lies
filled,are endless graves
of loves that have died
Why do I weep?
for my tears will not resurrect
lost loves, that sleep
I envy them so
for their pain is now gone
Oh spirits of lost loves
take me along
Draw me nigh, into eternal sleep
where no more shall I think
no more shall I weep

Love this poem. You rather sleep forever than be reminded of the Love you once had. Very Strong and very sad. I love the mentions of the Ghost. It kinda reminds me of the Ghost of the classic story "A Christmas Carol." |
