Dance me to the end of love
Upon a lake of frosty glass
Amid the mist of eternity
Dressed in days of forgotten elegance
The musicians play with silver strings
We glide in a soft and gentle waltz
Beneath pale glowing globes
Like tiny shrouded suns
But up ahead I see a woman
Dancing all alone
Holding only mist and light
As if some unseen lover held her close
I whisper words of sighing pity
But you smile and reply
“She is in love with love
And so her music goes ever onward”

I did enjoy that first stanza but certainly enjoyed
all the rest as well. One thing I like about
your poetry is that often there is this strange
feeling I get from it. It feels as though love and light and a sense of gentle beauty are
all wrapped into your words somehow. I like that because my own work is often devoid of such things. You've given me an idea for another poem game as well. A lovely picture by the way. Truly , Doug |

Oh how this touched my soul. Often I have danced with my would be loved one in my arms. He was the perfect man full of love and devotion for me. He never once stepped on my toes....An excellent piece that made me hear the waltz and elegant moves of lovers dancing. |
