For Someone

The Sad one

Whenever I walk on this path of life I feel a thorn will prick my feet,
I choose to walk and not let my feet fall asleep.

I have been swept by the waves of life, every time they hit me,
I feel lonely and question “God, Why me?”

“Why is it that the one I love, doesn’t love me?”
“Why is it that a beautiful flower tends to wilt when it’s with me?”

I lead my life as a vagabond,
I am yarning to develop a life long bond.

Everything seems pushed and puffed up,
I am trying; at times I fail to take things with my chin up.

Will I ever be happy; is what I ask myself and others?
I fail to get an answer because I have to live with others.

The Happy one

Today the rose seems to be a bit more redder then before,
today I seem to take a lot of things in my stride,
as compared to what I did before.

Happiness and all the worldly realities are at my door,
there isn’t anything that I can ask for anymore.

My heart throbs with thy name,
someday your name will be a part of my name.

How blessed do I feel?
I feel I should run to a church and pray to Lord on my knees.

Let not this be a dream,
let it be a reality,
anyways I don’t know of many,
who would like to be woken while they dream?

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
