Parting sorrow
between everything loved,
well earned mercies
crumbling gravestones.
Lacquered smiles
at trembling hands
grays are so noticeable
from black"
Child may dream
all before them,
once" can be dreamed as well.
Endurance of love,sorrow
balance lives
hearts breathe, and wilt.
Now her minutes soft
not hurried, voicing
years behind, tells Me
She laughed.. how She cried...
a day is Grace. Vincent

What a lovely write, my friend. When I worked in Nursing it was the older folks that I loved to care for. The wonderful stories they could tell. I adopted many a grandma and grandpa back then. When we recently went to the Howell family reunion, I loved hearing my Uncle Robert who is a fine age of 88 and my Aunt Lucille, 83 talk of the "good old days". They've been married over 60 years and I find it wonderful.
Thanks for making me think of those things.
Much peace,
Laura |

This is very sweet, old people have the most wonderful wealth of knowledge and stories.
You have captured this bittersweet tale beautifully!
Take care,

Oh Vincent, this was so beautiful. What a lovely soul
do you possess, my friend. This reminded me so much
of my very own grandmother, (rest her soul).
Thank you for sharing your talent and your soft heart.

A great write and at my age I can really feel the truth in the words. |
