Crush Crush Crush

Contributed by allforyou on Wednesday, 20th June 2007 @ 09:01:16 AM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

A million shooting stars race through the sky,
and I make a million wishes to come true,
hoping, only, that one will bring me to you.

This silence makes the pounding of my heart even louder,
and gives me the strange artistic craving to cut off my ear,
maybe then I'll be able to shut out the hate that I hate to hear.

Now far and away gone, the secret chatter,
and the whispered tumble of the sea are drizzled on my mind,
telling me these mysteries will all unfold in due time.

But I'm trapped here on this dusty shelf between fairy tales and horror thrills,
my cries died on the wind, never reached the ears of anyone,
and the sun, it does not rise upon these empty lungs.

I was enchanted, this is a great poem and youve really got a knack for description,
"The whispered tumble of the sea are drizzled on my mind" i love this line its what i look for in a poem, a true feeling of mystery and still beauty

Wow, I believe I've become a fan. I know you wrote this over a year ago, I wish I'd happened upon your work sooner. Wonderful writing.
