The Merry- Go- Round

Contributed by Tot on Wednesday, 20th June 2007 @ 03:29:28 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

sweeping past my face
as the wind upon the sky
what a splendid beginning

scent of perfection
envelopes my soul
perfumed by the presence
so bold

climbing beneath the caves
a venture from what I know
a basket of oddest reflection
knowing not where to go

smiling upon a new life
swinging into the trees
my feet reach the sky
my mind, beneath the seas

the merry go round
does not stop in this place
spinning round and round
the air stings like fire on my skin

the rapid heart beats beneath my chest
disclose no chance of rest
ah, but I long for nothing of this

chasing dreams,
rays of the sun
the moon is where I wrote you
this has begun

the desert awaits me no more!
my time there is complete
the thirst of what I longed for
has taken me to the water

so fresh, so sweet
the taste of what is to come
and the wind will not reach a calm upon this girl

I long for it
what is new
begin again
sweet world
take me in your breath
I will fly upon the beauty
and rest upon the death

The Ghost Alarms are deeply thrilled and would like to offer you our skulls once we are gone. Covering it in bronze to display our craniums. This to show you how our minds have expanded with the reading of your work. We want to call you poet so we do so in chants. "Poet you are poet, yes, yes, ever a poet." We do this while wearing our robes and recognizing that fashion is nothing to marvel at. Never when fashioned words and highly tuned rhythms in stanza form display themselves to reveal a real vision. You have chosen descriptions and metaphorical imaginations that have enticed us all here at our round table of artistic deliberation. We thank you for opening our eyes to a wonderful work and displaying your soul. Again we offer our skulls in humble presentation of the visual death mask. You have killed poetry's head today and it refuses burial but to be placed in bronze inclinations of your mind. These will be plenty of heads for we are many.

Wishing you shadows in the corner and beings without faces......The Ghost Alarms
