Last View of the Sky

Contributed by joydeep_nath on Wednesday, 20th June 2007 @ 01:00:21 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

The sky never looked so clear,
-on the spring board of the mundane;
at the tip of the plunge into an eternity.
Lying on a bed of logs;
dare to steal a moment to admire
thy grace spread in the blue above.

Shower thy benevolence
as I surrender my sins and all to thee
which the smoke shall raise to thee.
As the flames lick the back
of thy woven robe
that shall I now discard.

I feel am melting into thee
with each glob of melting gooey flesh
Shower thy kindness, now
as I become the sky.

The Ghost Alarms are thrilled with your abilities displayed in this work. We feel we were able to bite into your heart. One so juicy that the blood trickles down our bearded chins. One so warm and then cooled to curdle. Thank you for a poetic lunch! It was indeed a feast of inspirational cannibals. As we sit at our desks with poetic blood dripping on our robes, after reading your poem we look at each other and nod in agreement. This was deep poetry. Emotional and a wonderful selection of parts for your Frankenstein's creation. We especially loved the second stanza. There is an excitement about biting your chest again in further beatings of your heart. Our hearts beat with you and that's a drumline for we are many!

Shivers in the warmest of day because we are behind you glaring....The Ghost Alarms

Can't understand why you were the least read.. this is beautiful...clear enough to be understood; vague enough to be aesthetic.

Good job!
