This is killing me..

Contributed by StephaniePaige on Monday, 18th June 2007 @ 03:02:40 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

I'll apologize for what I've said
but never for what I've done
I'll keep feeding you these lines
all these lies are just for fun

make it clear to me what I'm missing
cause baby I haven't seen it yet
you've got me on a leash and waiting
waiting for something I'll never get

You know I can't stand
your wandering hands
your gaze that shifts
from my eyes to the floor
all I ever needed was a second chance
all I ever wanted was one last dance

one glimpse of and eye
and I fall all over you
you're perfect at this game you play
it's what holds me back
it's why I can't walk away

you think I'm clueless to the rules
you think I'm blind
but it's right in front of me
I'm seeing the same things I've always seen

soon you'll realize
I've known the truth
from beginning to end
you never really cared
you never really tried

and what it all comes down to
what you'll never understand
I'd rather be left empty
than be caught up in this frenzy

the love I found was useless
but it's all you know how to give
because living so long
in the same
puts you here

and I've become
what I said I'd never be
confidence comes with a price
it's what you gave me

The Ghost Alarms want to first congratulate you on a splendid job well done! We are in unison in reaching this. Also thank you for exposing such a pain, and we know it is hard. But we feel poetry stems from these circles of darkness and pain. As we sit at our desks staring at the picture on the wall of tragic beauty deaths we cannot help but say that under our robes is our heart. Sometimes that heart is selfish, but even after the selfish beatings comes the breaking of it's innocent rhythm. We are saddened and in our robes at the round table of madness we believe you have broken our hearts on this day with your write. And in your honor we will finish our daily task in our death masks and change from crimson robes to black. We hope you find a better day and we will gladly take your darkness if it were possible. We love darkness, though it is painful it is something extraordinary when used properly.

We stand and applaud your poem and this is a loud applause for we are many.

Tingles on the ends of each hair on your body when you are alone.....The Ghost Alarms
