I am trapped in the strata
of the subversive mind
Layer upon layer
deaf, dumb and blind
Sinking only deeper
no freedom in sight
Depression as emotion
succumbs to the blight
And at the bottom- nothing
Where is the end?
Lost sad and lonely
No God and no friend
