If you no longer really care,
Or never really did.
Do you wish I’d go away
Just like some pesky kid?
Then somehow you must tell me.
For you must clear the air.
And even if it hurts me,
You must act like you don’t care.
And even if you walk away,
I’ll behave just like a man.
Though I will only be half of one,
On the day when our love’s done.
