THE CURTAIN CALL

Contributed by lillyjane on Saturday, 16th June 2007 @ 08:05:57 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Waiting in the wings of life.
to scared to take the stage.
my life became an emty book,
no writing on the page,

Then one day, I tore up the book,
that was full of strife,
decide it was time to live,
to at last regain my life,

my fears all gone, felt so strong,
my worries cleared away,
the curtains opened, the audience cheered,
I starred in real lifes play.

A very inspirational write and lovely metaphor of life as a play, enacting out our joys and sorrows, and sometimes leaving the stage and being too afraid to return.
I love how you end embracing life, it is so easy to just exist and not appreciate everything around us.

Great read,

Dom

Oh lilly, how WONDERFUL!! What a gorgeous, uplifting write!
I truly adore this. Dom is right ... so many times we fear the unknown
and so don't passionately embrace life the way we were meant. It can
bring so much untold joy, if only we could chase fear away.

This was so well written .. the flow, the rhyming, the metaphor,
and good gosh, the MESSAGE !!!
wow!!

All 'round outstanding! loved it!!
