Rising Son
Drop the anchor down now
She’s as out to sea as she can get
Steady as she goes noooow
It may be sad to remember
But it helps nothing to forget
Forgive the rain for falling too hard
And the sky will not alter its state
Forgive him for dooming your boys
It will never wipe clean the slate
I can’t misdirect the bullets
If I can’t find who fired the gun
Those who depend on the pulling of the tides
Blame his rising son
