Haraya

Contributed by frustratedwitch on Wednesday, 13th June 2007 @ 03:14:08 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

She was a child;
she had never heard of dioramas
but created one
in her mind

where faeries posed
a regal stance
amidst a pirouette-
an unfinished dance.

She had never heard of dioramas
but created one
in her mind
that conquered over legacies

of concocted imageries.
She scattered basins of stars
to glisten their skins
and burn their silvery tears.

She created one-
in her mind-
a tryst between darkness and light.
As moonlight flooded her reverie

her innocence eloped with her throes;
she basked in the incense of frenzy
and neglected her lust
in tales of never-ending woe.

In her mind
she was the absolution
that would drown the bewails
and lamentations

of the weeping rain.
She had never heard of dioramas
but created one-
for in her mind-

she was a child.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
