When you're in a room with people you know
aren't you meant to let yourself go?
Instead i find the laughs echo right through me
and the monotonous tones pass right by me.
I then find that being in a room full of people
Is the loneliest place of all.

Oh my you have said so much with so little. I agree and have myself encountered this moment far too many times. Indeed sometimes the loneliest place to be sometimes is surrounded by many. False handshakes and fake laughter. Why do we deceive ourselves into pretending we enjoy things that do not exist. A powerful work in so little words. This is admirable poetry.
SPLENDID!
