Bright lights shine outside
The window that is my heart,
They gloat in all their glory
This darkness when we’re apart
Dark horizons seem tempting
To find my love just across,
Alas, it is merely an illusion
Eyes of my soul are at a loss
Not an inch is left parched
As rain pours down from the sky,
Can’t quench my thirst for you
My scorched love stays high and dry
Shivers run through my spine
The chills that drive me insane,
How I wish for your comforting lips
Such womanly warmth they do contain
Bolt of lightning strikes outside
Bright flash and thunderous sound,
Makes me yearn for your gentle voice
But between us this distance, so unbound
