Physical Strain

Physical action should be made
The prepared person makes a plan
Arranging for the group to toil
Knowing the benefit of a good sweat.
The day is long and some will weary,
Working hard beneath the sun
Sweat staining each back,
As one by one each completes a task.
Bitter sweet is the need that’s filled
Cannot rest till you’ve made your run
Each day and year you push onward
Work the cure for what you yearn.
Moving, bending; going without shade
Laboring tirelessly with one’s hands
The heat at noon day seems to broil,
Knowing to do, all without threat.
Work is shared so it’s never dreary,
Every person works as one
Especially for those who lack
Gaining skills and friends that last.
And when the day becomes still,
Life and work have become but one,
Physical labor is its own reward
Promotions, wages – a living earned.
