pieces

look behind
twist the mirror
saw a shape
looking nearer
blistered fragments
scar my eyes

it disappears
blind confusion
was it there?
can't be sure
do i care?
the answer
as always
a cacophony
of mixed
response
i loved him
i loved him not
plucked the petals
came down to one
heard the answer
down to none
it ate at me
glad it's done
why then
this yearning?
why then
this pain?
why then
this emptiness?
a sickness...

you took her twice
or so you said
and this one
she's just a friend
pure (un)adulterated lies
and i'm dead
inside
as i try
to reason
with myself
beside myself
behind myself
this love
still stands
battered
abused
used
certainly
used
but still
strong

crested
fallen
broken moon
dreams
followed
BOOM
cum
dusty
tears
blood
seeps
eyes
sleep
no peace
only pieces
of YOU
