Quarter Moon by RaquelLeah:D
O', that moon!, in its' splendorous way
Caught my eye tonight, this day,
With the early summer opal fog in the sky
It really, caught my eye.
That slate blue surround
Lit up those stars around,
O', that quarter moon!, it caught my eye
And my heart, it stirred a cry.
Those black green trees, no matter how tall
All of civilization,
Did not matter, at all...
O', that moon!, in its' splendorous way
Caught my eye tonight, this day,
With the early summer opal fog in the sky
It really, caught my eye.
That slate blue surround
Lit up those stars around,
O', that quarter moon!, it caught my eye
And my heart, it stirred a cry.

I thank you very kindly Honey56! It was as if the complete setting borrowed the colors from the sunset; around the moon, there was that rich glow of colorful opal fog; the deep slate blue sky with those twinkling stars, brilliantly bright; yes it was a very beautiful sight; the green on the trees in the darkness was still visible; of course everything below was a beautiful scene too, all combined, but it was the moon that really stole my heart; yes, emotionally lovely tears fell as I viewed such a beautiful scene as I had. My poem can only gently share the actual beauty that I truly saw.

Thank you Oceandreamer, thank you! With all the senses alive, sometimes it can be very difficult to write about nature, what our perfect creator has made for all of us; never-the-less, for some, it does come much easier.
