Lifepoems

withered and wretched
what it is
to be
mangled and hated
what it is
not to be seen
Preyed upon
and tossed away
drink it down
to keep it at bay
Fragile
Oh ever so to seem
vacant
like the eyes of the dead
in the moment life leaves the mind
A mystery
that has no end
death is no escape
like running from the smoke
right into the flame
Let it burn away
all that it is to be
let it melt into nothingness
let it be free

Very eerie poem. My favorite stanza is
"A mystery
that has no end
death is no escape
like running from the smoke
right into the flame"
Life is a mystery and death is not an ending. It is just another chapter that we must experience.
Great Work,
