  Social

Social Corpses

Contributed by proudestmonkey on Friday, 8th June 2007 @ 03:50:13 AM in AEST
Topic: political

Time, like eternal paper, endlessly will fold,
As the over-caffeinated origami artist does as he's told,
And we watch in dismay while anything bold,
Is placidly put to death on morality's scaffold.

Rioters throw stones at unfamiliar things
And the prosperous stow thrones intended for kings,
Humanity evades on flighty wings
While blackness invades, and it's mighty bell rings.

Still my mind cries out aimlessly in vain,
It's pleas engulfed by a louder refrain,
Like a prisoner of time entwined in chain,
Nothing will come, nothing came.

Concave commanders cower in their beds
From cloudy crossfire overhead,
While people fear what is already dead
Tomorrow's promise is what they should dread.

Blind eyes search for the quickest solution
And live by constant constitution,
And although we all seek out restitution,
If I cant dance, I dont want to be in your revolution.
