There is a place in my heart,
A place that is just for me,
My secrets, failures, and wishes,
Are there hidden within me.
Everything I have done,
Everything I wish to be,
All the things I keep inside,
So no one will ever see.
But once in a long long while,
Someone comes along,
Someone I spend all my time with,
Someone who sings my song.
She got into my special place,
The two of us now share.
My hopes and dreams are shared by two,
Along with the love we have for each other.
It is hard to find a friend like this,
One who shares your secret place,
It was then I learned how to love,
And what it means to be a true friend.
